The Faculty Handbook is a dynamic document. As such, it is occasionally revised to reflect changes at UTHSC. Proposed revisions are presented here for review by the UTHSC community.

In the summer of 2004, the UTHSC Faculty Senate appointed a committee to undertake a revision of the Faculty Handbook. The committee membership includes:

The UTHSC Faculty Senate Executive Committee is now undertaking a review of the handbook, with further review and comments to be elicited from the Faculty Senate and UTHSC faculty. We invite your review and comments about the handbook revisions. The files are in PDF format with track changes to illustrate additions and deletions. Some comments are also included for your consideration. The format for track changes is:

• additions show in blue with double underlining
• deletions show in a balloon in the right margin
• Board of Trustees language (that cannot be changed) shows in black single underlining

As one way of thinking about any changes, you might want to point out conflicts between what is in the handbook and the "real practice" in your department or college. This information would be very helpful to us.
