Responsibilities and Goals
Responsibilities: Specific areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to, policies and recommendations related to the following:
Goals:
- Find out objectives of the UT government relations office in Nashville and
- how UTHSC can participate.
- Communicate with Shelby County Delegation to get a date for our presentation to them.
- Plan bi-monthly visits to Nashville to see the Mental Health and Disabilities Commissioner, the Health Commissioner, and the Maternal Child Health Commissioner.
- Plan meeting with Congressman Ford and Shelby County Mayor AC Wharton.
- Create liaison with Government Relations Office at U of M and hospital/TLC to see if there are common agendas we can press as a block on behalf of Memphis.
- Prepare presentations showing bar graphs, pie charts, and narrative.
